What Policies are important to Lauren?

1. Crack Down on Crime

Public safety is government’s first duty. Yet, the Travis County’s District Attorney, as well as other progressive DA’s around the Country, are missing deadlines, letting violent offenders walk. I will call on the Department of Justice to hold failing prosecutors accountable, expand federal partnerships like the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and ensure federal grants such as Byrne JAG funds reward jurisdictions that enforce the law and protect victims. Families deserve justice, not revolving-door policies that embolden criminals.

2. Combat Human Trafficking at the Federal Level

As a survivor of human trafficking, I have lived what many only hear about. Trafficking often flourishes through unregulated "entertainment" industries with little federal oversight. I will push for federal legislation—through the Department of Labor and Department of Justice—to require adult entertainment clubs to classify dancers as W-2 employees, with E-Verify, timekeeping, and licensing mandates nationwide. This closes a reverse money-laundering loophole for drug traffickers and protects minors from exploitation. Trafficking prevention must start where abuse begins: in the shadows of unregulated cash economies.

3. Protect Disability Rights in Work & School

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) must be enforced and modernized. As a mother to a child with juvenile arthritis and someone living with PTSD, I know firsthand how broken the system is. I will champion reforms to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and push for stronger enforcement of IDEA in schools to ensure real access—not lip service. I’ll also support grants for disability workforce programs through Vocational Rehabilitation Services under the Department of Education and Department of Labor.

4. Reform Welfare to Promote Self-Sufficiency

The welfare system traps families in cycles of dependency. I support TANF and SNAP reforms that require job training, drug testing, and time limits for able-bodied recipients. Welfare should be a temporary lift, not a permanent lifestyle. I’ve lived in this system, and I know: we need accountability and dignity, not bureaucracy and dependence.

5. Restore Law Enforcement and Community Trust

I support legislation to withhold federal grants (like Byrne JAG or COPS Office funds) from cities that defund their police. We must uphold public safety without compromising civil rights. I’ll also work to fund community policing pilot programs and school-based public safety education, bridging trust and understanding between law enforcement and youth.

6. Defend the Second Amendment Without Compromise

Our right to bear arms is the firewall protecting every other freedom. I oppose unconstitutional gun control schemes and federal buyback programs that disarm law-abiding citizens. I support national reciprocity for concealed carry and will fight to protect firearms access for responsible citizens.

7. Deliver Real Support for Veterans

No veteran should sleep on the streets. I’ll work to reform the VA, streamline HUD-VASH, and eliminate the red tape that traps veterans in homelessness. We must deliver results—not waitlists. Our heroes deserve direct access to housing, healthcare, and jobs—not bureaucratic dead-ends.

8. Secure the Southern Border to Save American Lives

Border security is national security. I support full funding of the border wall, more resources for CBP, and designation of drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. We must stop fentanyl, trafficking, and unlawful entry—especially the influx of military-aged males—with clear authority and no apologies.

9. Protect Medical Freedom and Parental Rights

I will fight to prohibit federal vaccine mandates, preserve HIPAA privacy rights, and block federal agencies from overstepping into family decisions. Education and medical care must remain in the hands of parents—not unelected bureaucrats. I will support legislation like the Parental Rights Amendment to cement these freedoms into law.

10. Champion Fiscal Responsibility and Taxpayer Stewardship

Washington must stop spending like it’s not our money—because it is. I’ll support a balanced budget amendment, zero-based budgeting, and spending caps tied to GDP. It’s time to end reckless earmarks, stop subsidizing foreign regimes, and put America First in every appropriations bill.
